So, let's start with the bad.

- I don't know if it was because I'm ill or because I'm stupid, but it took me a full fifteen minutes to get the right tube. In my head, I was saying 'Piccadilly line, Piccadilly line' and yet when I looked up at the signs, I still followed the one for the Central line. D: This post could very easily have been tragic.

- My most comfortable shoes ever decided today to turn on me and rub my heel raw. I ended up with toilet paper stuffed down my sock for padding.

- The Heroes Talk got moved! I struggled in at 11.35am (when it was supposed to start) and it had been moved to 3.20pm and then 3.50pm.

- I didn't get an autograph from David Anders. You have to get virtual tickets at the LFCC and they were calling up 1 to 175 and my number was 335, and it was 4.35pm and my feet hurt and yeah, I decided to go home.

- I almost got the wrong train home. I needed to get an Eastbound train and apparently I couldn't work out the difference District Line Eastbound and Piccadilly Line Eastbound. I actually got on a train and realised at the last moment that it was going to take me the complete wrong way. This has been one of my more eccentric days.

The good. Cut for big ass images and the C bomb. )

Goddamn it to hell, Sendhil has dropped out. DDD: I'm leaving in about ten minutes, wish me luck on working out the tube on my own!

We have a biiiiig television. :D I can't wait for September now: Adrian Pasdar on a 32", high definition screen. :DDD

Apparently there are planned engineering works on the Piccadilly Line on Saturday, which is the line I'm going to take to get to the LFCC. *shoots the tfl.gov.uk messenger* So that, coupled with my illness, is sure to make the con a super duper time all round. I probably won't go on Sunday and if Sendhil and David drop out? I doubt I'll go at all.

Also, my ticket lets me in at 11am, and the talk is at 11.35am, so I hope the damn lines aren't too long.

OMG YOU GUYS, MY TICKETS FOR THE LFCC AND THE HEROES TALK JUST ARRIVED. OMG.

More on this later. :DDD

Edit: Does anyone know any good quality digital audio recorders that record sound over some distance with background noise? I know, it's a long shot but I don't know where to look for one.

I have tickets to the Heroes talk with David Anders and Sendhil Ramamurthy. There are exclusive badges and free t-shirts and such. Jealous?

Also, I won third place at [livejournal.com profile] heroes_contest.

HOLY FUCK PEOPLE, SENDHIL IS GOING TO BE AT THE LFCC. Tentatively, anyway. This makes me so happy that I've uploaded a new icon (I've been criminally lacking in Mohinder icons till now).

I've been meaning to update for a while, but I'm just so damn lazy, so here's the highlights:

+♥Pathology♥ tomorrow. :DDD
+I had a two and a half hour ICT lesson, but as I suspected it got entirely hijacked my evil computer, and its refusal to run any form of Linux. So yay! I didn't have to do any work.
+I had a mock exam type thing in which I had to write this article in the style of this one, and I feel pretty good about how I did. I just had to tap into my inner vitriolic bitch.
+My Media Studies/English teacher (he does both classes) is awesome. On Monday we talked about zombies, on Tuesday it was robots and today we discussed how fiction =/= reality and that people who think that are idiots.
+I realised yesterday that the top floor toilet at my college smells just like the toilets at my favourite primary (I went to three). Which is... yeah, gross, but also oddly comforting. I loved that place.
+I actually took the time to look around today on my way home, it was a really beautiful day. It's generally not a good idea to wander around like a tourist, but damn, the sky was so blue.

-My ICT teacher's cologne is so strong that my laptop still smells of it after two days.
-Three history essays and cramming.
-ICT & MEDIA STUDIES COURSEWORK. OMG WOMAN JUST GET IT DONE.
-I used hair removal cream under my chin a couple of days ago, and oh my God, the itchiness was almost unbearable last night. I was amazed I didn't have a rash this morning.
-I'm covered in spots. >:( I have, as my dad would say < whispers >women's problems< / whispers >.
-My exam times have come in:
*weeps* )
-The editor of the college magazine keeps bothering me to write something. See, I'm the co-editor, the one who makes the thing readable, and she wants me to introduce myself to the, uh, readers. She was all touching my arm and wanting it by next week. I don't want to be a bitch, but it'll get done when it gets done. Exams are eating my head.

I finally got around to uploading some of my LFACC photos to flickr.com and I found a guy who posted a load from the day, including the Heroes guys doing the signings! They didn't allow pictures to be taken, and you needed to be pretty damn tall to take them from far away. Enjoy. (Adrian is so prettiful at Comic Con, I wish I'd been there!)

I only really posted about the OMGTOUCHINGADRIANPASDAR yesterday, so now you get my ADD con report. :)

Saturday-
The first day of the con was pretty low-key, it was really an opportunity to browse the stalls and shop. I went with dad, and we got a whole sales spiel about HD DVD players (really not interesting, but they were showing 300 and had this split screen thing that showed them filming in front of the blue screen. We watched medieval roleplayers, and I got a Firefly t-shirt. Every SF fan should have a Firefly t-shirt. Then dad noticed that Gary Kurtz was there. My grandfather used to work for MGM and he knows Kurtz quite well, so my dad was like 'let's go over nd say hello!'. Personally I thought it was a bad idea, and I was right, Kurtz didn't recognise him, even though they have met quite a few times, and since there was no one in his autograph queue, I think he was kind of embarrassed. :/

After we left, we saw The Simpsons Movie, which kind of sucked.

Sunday-
It was an absolute nightmare getting there on Sunday morning. The closest tube station had engineering works going on, so we had to walk down to Holborn and it took about ten minutes to get tickets because all the machines were broken. I had an Oyster card, but mum didn't. It was horribly hot and crowded, I think everyone must have decided to descend on tube at that exact moment. It took so long I very nearly missed the SGA talk, but we got there just in time.

And, the autographs! )

So, I'm back from the first half of the London Film & Comic Convention, I've got to say, it's very low key, which was kind of a let-down but it's probably a good introduction to the world of hardcore fandom. :) They were rather organized, I got sent from pillar to post trying to pick up my tickets. Bored security guards - not the best people to ask for help. ^^ I didn't get any celeb pics today, but I did get rather a lot of pictures of cars. :D

Cars! With occasional K9 and medieval fights. )

I also got a couple of t-shirts, a Stargate pin and a Forbidden Planet poster. There's a gorgeous Superman print on one of the stalls which I might be compelled to buy tomorrow. :D And I had the rather unique experience of watching a Starfleet officer and John Crichton have their photo taken by Crais while Aeryn looks on. ^^
