+ I am now free of exams until May! My unit 2 history went okay - I got a question on Stresemann and as luck would have it I decided to read the chapter on Stresemann in my book on Weimar democracy a couple of hours before. Cute Boy wasn't there though. :/

+ I started taking metformin and tetracycline today - I'm taking it in conjunction with some lethal acne cream that made the skin around my eyes dry and tight even though it got nowhere near my eyes. Acne: it just keeps on giving.

+ You guys! Two (edit 2: three!) of my fics just got nominated at paire_awards (edit: and most outstanding author, wtf? :D )! :D :D :D

+ I am juuust about finished with a fic that got kind of surprisingly long. I get the feeling I won't get that many comments on it. Oh well.

So, I went to see an optometrist today, and apparently my vision thing was probably brought on by my birth control. IT HAS CAUSED ME NOTHING BUT MISERY FOR SIX WEEKS. UGH. The doctor said that visual disturbances linked to migraines are a common side effect of the type of drug I was taking - it, of course, said nothing of the sort of the goddamn packet. So that's that in the bin then. He also put drops in my eyes that dilated my pupils, so I look like I'm high at the moment and everything's blurry. :(

Essentially, I'm back in the position I was in two months ago, but with the added bonus of having suffered from month long cramps and migraines. Happyhappy.

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In March I put money in nerdcakes's expired parking meter (14 points). In June I stole saintlyficcies's purse (-30 points). In November I broke boggie's X-Box (-12 points). Last Tuesday I set sandoz_iscariot's puppy on fire (-66 points). Last Friday I gave crazy__girl a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). Overall, I've been naughty (-44 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich! Sincerely, boombangbing

So, I went kind of blind today for awhile. My day started off fine and I had a perfectly good history lesson that mostly consisted of chatting with my friend, BUT THEN, the minute I got outside into the cold, half my vision went blurry with lots of pretty reds and greens, and for some reason I still proceeded to go down to Waterstone's and M&S. I seriously could barely see, and I was wearing these boots that increase the chances that I'm going to fall flat on my face approximately by the power of ten, and at one point I was honestly considering how I was to get home should I completely lose my sight. Thankfully it went off, and then my bottle of water opened up in my bag and soaked my copy of Fight Club and now I have a headache.

I was going to write an epic rant about how awful the state of A Level education is these days, but I cannot be fucked, so idk, just imagine a rant here.

Also, I'm waiting on an email from a guy from IT services at UBC about my application, and his name is Todd. Now I can't stop imagining him as The Todd from Scrubs, and I'm finding it difficult to trust in his abilities.
