Due South! How can anyone with a soul not love due South? Since it's so lovable, this picspam, got a little out of hand - twenty seven images for the sequence with parts cut because otherwise it could have gone on forever. This sequence, though, is one of my absolute favourites of the show; it sums up everything that was great about due South: gruesome farce, humour, fantastic supporting characters (Stanley Smith ♥), magic realism and just a hint of something darker going on under the surface. Also, we get to see that Fraser can most certainly compromise his morals when it's his friend's safety at stake. Mostly, though, it's just as funny as hell. I had to give up trying to transcribe most of what they were saying, they speak so damn fast! Screencaps are mine, which is why some of them have double images in the faster parts.
( I guess they do these things a little differently where you're from, huh? )

My dog won't stop whining because Mum's taken the other dog for a walk. Don't they know it's sacred Heroes time?
( Heroes 3x23 spoilers )
Now I'm going to go eat pizza and watch Oz.

\o/ I HAVE BESTED THE ROUTER. I NOW HAVE A NEW ROUTER WHICH HOPEFULLY *touches wood* WON'T CRAP OUT ON ME WITH THE ALARMING REGULARITY THE OLD ONE DID. I FEEL THIS IS AWESOME ENOUGH TO REQUIRE ITS OWN ENTRY.
EDIT: OH, WAIT, I ALSO WENT INTO THE TATE MODERN TODAY (I WAS WITH MY DAD AND HE NEEDED THE LOO... yeah) AND THEY HAVE THIS REALLY COOL SCIFI-INSPIRED ART INSTALLATION, INCLUDING A BIG WEIRD FAKE SKELETON. GOD KNOWS WHAT IT MEANS BUT IT'S AWESOME.

- One of these days my internet connection is going to be the death of me. Early this morning when I was uploading a 37MB zip, it crapped out at 97% and I couldn't get it going again for fifteen minutes. This afternoon, it died 96% into my Lie to Me download and when it reconnected, the file had a 'size mismatch' and fucked up. Urgh, I really need to do something about this. I've got an old-but-never-used wireless router that I've never been able to fathom how it works, and I bought a router from ebuyer.com last week, but it wasn't a modem router, so it couldn't work with my AirPort wireless adaptor. >:( Now I've got to send it back but I think they're going to complain because it's been opened. And they don't provide a prepaid returns sticker, so I have to pay the delivery charge. Goddamnit, I'm generally good at computery things, but wireless internet just flummoxes me.
- ( Life 2x20 )
- No spoilers, but I still really really love Better Off Ted. ♥
- I love how everyone has opinions on Coldplay. :D It did eventually go on the mix, by the way, here. *pimp*
- I might be a little biased here, but
twistdmentality posted THE BEST HEROES 3X21 PICSPAM EVER. Go loook.
- I haven't been out of the apartment since Monday. Is this bad?

Let me tell you about my day. Today I walked the dogs. Immediately upon entering the park, a little Jack Russell come up to us and as per usual the dogs went off on one and fighting with each other, and just generally drawing everyone's attention to little ol' me. The Jack Russell answered with what I can only assume was the dog equivalent of 'yeah? Well, fuck you too!' and pursued us a little while. It didn't stop there though, oh no. About two minutes later one of my dogs managed to get mostly free from her harness - thankfully I'd brought their old harnesses because I'd been concerned about how loose the new ones were. SO, I get Mitt free from the double lead and put her under my arm while I drag the other dog (Kes) to a bench, spend about five minutes trying to figure out why the fuck I can't get the strap the lie flat, while holding Kes's lead between my legs. Then our friend from before comes over and honestly all I could do was hold to the dogs for dear life while the Jack Russell's owner tried unsuccessfully to get the dog away from us. I told her I knew how she felt.
I just wish people would keep their dogs on leads, you know? Like the rules of the park say. I know my dogs are little devils, but the amount of fights that would be avoided if people would just follow the damn the rules once in a while.
Aside from that, in the last sixteen hours or so, I've watched TSCC, Dollhouse (which, fuck, I loved - the world must be ending or something), two episodes of The Daily Show I've had on my DVR for a while (I laughed so loudly at his comment on Britain one minute into this video), the remainder of a short documentary about Bill Gates (which didn't at all mention the competition posed to Microsoft from Linux and the open source movement - wtf?) and Milk. Oh oh oh, I'm so glad I got around to watching it - I knew it was going to good, but God, it was incredibly moving. ♥
So, flist, tell me about your day.

spring break, woo!
Every so often I get obsessed with browsing
ohnotheydidnt, and today is one of those days. It's... kind of horrifying, but in a car crash sort of way - I can't stop looking. Also, I discovered adorable Watchmen webcomics, so it can't be all bad. Aside from that, I've spent most of the day (now that I officially have two weeks holiday \o/) watching TV shows, and for once everything was awesome: ( spoilers for Life 2x19, The Office 5x19 and Better Off Ted 1x01&02 )
( And this meme that everyone's doing. )

- I am very excited about the casting in Heroes for the rest of the season - ( here be spoilers. )
- My mum had a dog trainer over today, because the dogs behave so badly on their walks. It... didn't go well, he said she's too soft for the method he uses. Mostly, though, I was just struck by the literature they gave on dog food - it was basically two thousand words that managed to say nothing at all, and two hundred words of impressively pompous, patronising advice. Urgh, hardcore dog people are unbearable.
- So, I've kind of... fucked up? I told my teacher I'd start building my database when I hadn't, and now my virtual Windows XP has somehow borked itself. I have to show him my 'progress' tomorrow. Haaa, that learned me, huh?
- I had something else to say, but I can't remember what it is.
Edit:the
meme
I am not, however, not touching TVTropes tonight, otherwise I'll never get to bed.

- I bought new comics today, including #2 of Milo V's Rest, and I swear, the art still terrifies me. It's kind of making it difficult for me to assess whether it's actually any good.
- There's going to be a live-action TV show based on the comic Powers! This really excites me, even though I'm concerned they won't do it justice. Powers was the series that got me into comics, and I always wondered if they'd adapt it. If they did it right, it could be an awesome dark Justice League/Heroes fusion. Unh, I'm going to be all over this when it comes out.
- This. (The first set of pictures in the post.) This is just the best Heroes photoshoot ever. I just. *flails* By the way, this one is my favourite. What I'd do for a hi res, non-watermarked set.
- I really want to get volume one of the Middleman graphic novels, but look how much it's selling for. D:
- I have updated my profile, replete with me a picture of me sitting upside down in a chair reading a book on the Nazis. Yeah, I don't know.
- I have lots more reading to do for my history lesson tomorrow, and I don't wanna. :(
mousewings gave me ( Topher Brink, Nathan Petrelli and Michael Bluth. )

- It's... the Shat's... birthday! (That was my attempt at Shat!speak, just so you know.) Watching some of those youtube clips is kind of like how I imagine an LSD trip might go.
- Dark Was The Night is a really awesome compilation album - and I totally just stumbled across it while searching iTunes for any new Beirut tracks. I've found a bunch of great new artists through it!
- *phew* Just posted my first
ninth_wonders newsletter. You don't realise just how badly people label things until you're trying to work out how the hell to categorise everything.

Can I please express fangirly concern over the Stargate: Universe teaser? It looks like they're trying to be all serious and dark and shit, and I'm sorry but the phrase 'lol no' comes to mind when that's put together with the Stargate franchise. God, I miss SG-1 hard sometimes.
And since I'm talking about it, check out this awesome picspam: 5 Reasons Why Episode 8x19/20 of Stargate SG-1 is Quite Possibly the Dorkiest Episode Ever.

- That meme I posted last night produced three sexual propositions. You guys. ♥ :D
- ( BSG 4x20 )
- ( Dollhouse 1x06 )
- TSCC is up next after I finish watching Casualty. Also trying to write a fic for the porn meme that's never going to end, but I don't think it's going to end up porny enough.
