Hey, look I got tagged by
kitten_of_rain! And I'm loitering around my flist, so I may as well post it now.
Tag 8 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.
01. What's the last DVD you watched?
The 4400, season three, disc two. Not that I'm keeping count or anything.
02. What are you wearing at the moment?
The most hideous grey pyjamas ever. They're very warm though, and I love them for it.
03. Who is your favourite writer?
I have noooo idea. I'm (still!) reading Nights At The Circus by Angela Carter, and she's a pretty damn amazing writer.
04. What is your favourite scent?
I like the smell of older books. They don't need to be really old, maybe just a couple of years. Also, I seem to like my ICT teacher's cologne, maybe through survival instinct, since he pretty much douses himself in the stuff.
05. What's that one movie you can watch over and over again and never get tired of?
Ohhh, wow, I don't know, I rarely watch movies more than once. Um. I could probably watch Re-Animator a couple of dozen times without getting sick of it, though.
06. What do you drink the most?
Water. I AM ALSO EXCITING,
kitten_of_rain.
07. Is there a useless thing that you cannot brace yourself to throw out?
I have a model of a dog that was given to my mum when she was a little kid as a gift for when she had an operation. A couple of years ago, my devil dogs got hold of it and chewed its head off. It has no head, and yet I can't bring myself to bin it. I also have pieces of the said head. I don't even know.
08. What is your occupation? What do you do there?
Full time burden on mother. Occasional A Level student.
09. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I went through a couple of different ideas when I was younger. There was the obligatory ballet thing, but I only really did that to fit in. For a while I was convinced I would one day be a dog (I was a hardcore canine enthusiast as a kid). I also wanted to be a vet for a while and for the longest time I had my little heart set on being a cartoonist, until I realised I couldn't draw for shit.
10. What are your favorite song(s) of the moment?
All of Fiona Apple's Extraordinary Machine album. A bunch of Ingrid Michaelson songs. Runs In The Family by Amanda Palmer, and probably a bunch more I can't recall right now.
11. Which characters are overrated?
Sylar *ducks thrown objects* I get that ZQ is awesome, you'll get no argument from me there, but Sylar? For me, not so much.
12. What 3 people would you invite to dinner?
Um. I don't know three people. Um, I guess Adrian, Hayden and Milofor the ensuing threesome.
13. What is your current desktop?
Niagara Falls. ♥
14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
I think she's awesome and too hard on herself, and is into a sizeable amount of the same obscure and mainstream fandoms as me, which is \o/ making.
15. What are you afraid of?
I don't like fire all that much. My mum smokes, and I fucking hate lighters and matches - I've never used a lighter in fact, and I was most upset when I was made to light a match in a science class once. My mum thinks it's great, since it's more guarantee I won't smoke as well. And of course, I'm incredibly afraid of losing loved ones. And of moving away to Canada - but that's the good kind of afraid.
16. Where would you love to go in your next holidays?
Vancouver again, oh god - but hopefully it won't be just a holiday, so let's say... Tokyo. I don't know how long I could survive in such a crazy city, but it looks like an amazing experience.
17. What are you into right now?
Christmas! Heroes, for some reason, all the other great TV on at the moment: TSCC, Life,One Tree Hill, Dexter. Nights At The Circus, so into it, omg.
18. What did you do today?
I volunteered to hand coursework in early (as detailed in my previous post), had continuous stomach cramps without on painkillers on hand, wrote some Peter/Claire, didn't do any coursework, worked more on learning how to build databases and had a politics lesson. Not necessarily in that order.
19. What do you want?
I want to be able to sort out the problems on my UBC application. I want to apply to UBC. I want to be conditionally accepted into UBC. I want to pass my exams with high grades. I want to go to Canada. Do you see a pattern emerging?
20. What should you be doing right now?
Sleeping. Oh god, so much.
21. What's the meaning behind your LJ username/name/nicknames you go by?
There's this quote from due South (it's a fairly long scene, dialogue-wise, so I'll only post a couple of lines):
Vecchio: I was the arresting officer, Your Honor. He didn't do it.
Tyreer: Yes, I did.
Vecchio: No, he didn't.
Judge: How do you know that, Detective?
Vecchio: Because, uh. . .
Fraser: It was boom bang bing, Your Honor.
Also, it has the fringe benefit of sounding like a comic book sound effect. I chose it completely on a whim because of couldn't stand my chosen-at-aged-fourteen name, 'teenmisfituk'. D:

SYLAR YES. I. I don't get all the love, I must admit. (There are times when I like him, but I've never been omgwtfsylar!!1♥ or anything. First season A+, but I'm kind of annoyed that he's still around. >>)
Have I ever told you I love your username a LOT? 'Cause I do.

Have I ever told you I love your username a LOT?
Hee! Thank you. :D

And, hee, I've never met another girl who's dream job at one point wasn't being a vet. It seems like a phase all little girls go through.
And, uh, since you're not writing porn can you send your dinner guests my way after you're done? You do now have my address to stalk me.
One Tree HillSee, I wanted to judge. I really did. But then I remembered that I watch Gossip Girl. And while I can still be egotistical and think that my show is superior acting and storylines-wise, those two shows are still kind of in the same boat. I really don't know what it is about teen shows that hooks me.
I will never, ever in my life reveal my username that I chose when I was younger. I live in shame that I ever used it. SHAME.
And I will try to remember to do this tomorrow.

Done? I don't understand this word you're saying.
Gossip Girl may indeed be better acted, considering how incredibly awful OTH is. Just mind-bogglingly shit, I don't know why I even like it - I normally get bored with teen dramas really quickly, especially ones this ridiculous.
I will never, ever in my life reveal my username that I chose when I was younger.
It was worse than mine then? You know I really want to know what it is now.

Eh, I'm hard enough to understand when I'm fully awake. I applaud anyone who can decipher me when I'm sleepy and mumbly.
I normally get bored with teen dramas really quickly, especially ones this ridiculous.
I'm telling you it's a conspiracy! We know we shouldn't like the shows. Yet, we still do.
It was worse than mine then? You know I really want to know what it is now.
Did you not get the "never, ever" in my comment? I stand firmly by it.
