So, Star Trek: The Animated Series. I started watching it last night, and I got through four episodes (how much do I love 20 minute TV shows?). Honestly, I thought it was pretty good. The storylines are pretty much up to TOS standards (take that as you will) only condensed into half the length, and on the plus side, you get a whole host of anthropomorphic characters, such as Lt M'Ress and the rather odd, three armed, three legged Lt. Arex:


I haven't even got to her episodes yet, and I already want to read fic about her!



The animation is very simple, the characters don't move an awful lot, quite often it seems like they use the same frame multiple times, but I would still do Kirk and Spock:



Also, in The Lorelei Signal, the women kick ass and take names:


Request rescue party. All-female. Repeat. All-female.
