1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

1. I got the impression that you're doing your A-levels or at uni? So what are you studying and why?
Yeah, I'm doing my A-levels. I took my English Lit & Lang AS this year, along with three GCSEs (my education got a little messed up, my personal life was in huge upheaval in 2005, when I started my GCSEs...). Anyway, next term I'm taking English L+L A2 because I want to study at university. The whole combined aspect of it is fairly hellish, since it's pretty much all language based, even the literature studies and has hardly any thematic focus (also, no Shakespeare for A2, as far as I know). My Lit teacher hates the course an awful lot, but I chose it and I'm stuck with it now. :) Mostly, I chose it because I'm stronger at language, but didn't want to abandon lit completely.
I'm also taking ICT, History and Media Studies AS-levels. ICT because I want to work in IT when I'm older (my ultimate goal is to be an author, but I'm not going to be able to support myself on rejection letters ^^). With this A-level, I'll be able to study IT at uni, otherwise I'd have to take Maths so I could do Computer Studies, and since I can just about add up, I think I made the right choice.
History because I needed to take four subjects and I enjoyed the GCSE. There's something of a predisposition to it in the family - my uncle is a professor of tudor history and what my dad doesn't know about WW2 and the armed forces isn't worth knowing. :) Media Studies... well, it sounded cool. A friend of mine who was taking it said they got to make short films for coursework. What can I say, I'm a ten year-old boy at heart.
2. What goes into the perfect sandwich?
Okay, so. I'm boring. It's a well-recorded fact, and my perfect sandwich consists of lots of butter on toasted bread - preferably enough so that it doesn't all melt - good quality ham and just enough mustard so that it's strong, but not so much it makes my eyes and nose run. ^^
3. The London Olympics has been cancelled. Sorry. They're letting you decide how to re-distribute the money. Where does it go?
Oh, this seems like I should give a deep answer, something to do with bringing about world peace and end poverty and the like... But, uh, I can't go on like that without feeling a little nauseous, so let's see. Firstly, I'd put a roof on the Wimbledon tennis courts, because if I have to hear about tennis, and the goddamn weather, my head is going to explode. I'd also put more money into the public transport, or spend more accurately, find someone who's half-way decent at running things. Beyond that... I honestly don't know. I'd say fund the TV channels to make better programmes, but looking at what they've already got, I think they could stand to have some money taken away.
4. Which television programme were you in love with as a child? I know you were only small when dS was on, but we're not counting that. ;-)
Actually, I didn't even watch dS when I was a kid, I only have the vaguest memories of it. ^^ My big thing was actually not a show, but a film - 101 Dalmatians. I was so incredibly obsessed, it was enough to rival my fangirling of today. The thing was, I really, really, really loved dogs (still do), so anything with canines was good with me. I had all the merchandise, t-shirts, leggings, pencil cases, my mum even painted her old wooden recorder white with black spots for me to use at school (that was the only good thing about it, I couldn't play a note). Aside from that, I pretty much loved all cartoons, Cartoon Network was a revelation for me. Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry, Doug, Farthing Wood, Rugrats and for some unknown reason, Supermarket Sweep presented by Dale Winton.
5. What's your comfort read? Which books do you go back to time and again?
I don't really reread books. I have read the first four HP books about five times each though, but that was through obsessive fan activities rather than any actual drive to read them. I think the book I found comforting, and I really should read it again, was I Capture the Castle. The opening chapter of Cassandra sitting in the sink, writing in her diary, really got me, and I have a particular love of books that are character-driven, rather than concept-driven, which can be a problem for me, since I'm a big scifi fan, and most books tend to focus on concept rather than character. I found I could really identify with Cassandra. she didn't suffer from many awful female stereotyping, which is a little surprising considering it was written in the 1940s.

On the inside I'm a poet, on the outside: Mmph shake bad guys shake!
(no subject)
Aw, poor Molly, it's not her fault she gets to be with all the pretty boys.
due South moodtheme. All the
crazycool kids have it.Oh my, S&A!!! How much of it have you seen (that isn't one of your questions, btw)? You should definitely try Twitch City. Join the madness. Bwahaha*cough*
So, questions, hm...
1) What is your favourite music album, the one that you listen to the most?
2) What was your first major fandom?
3) I think I remember you saying that you wanted to travel - where to, and what would you ideally like to do while traveling?
4) What's your favourite medium for art, computer, traditional, sculpting, photography... etc?
5) And for something completely different... Kill, shag, marry - Mark Sheppard, David Hewlett, Paul Gross?
(no subject)
Hahahaha *evil laugh*
The funny thing about Twitch City..
I have it on DVD!!! :D :D Before I even watched a single episode!! :p
But I have seen the cat-take-over episode. That was just too funny to be missed.
And questions I wasn't aware of any questions?! What was your original post about now?
(no subject)
Heh, not at all. In fact, lots of the money has come from the Lottery Fund and would otherwise have gone into heritage or performance art or something, so no need to feel compelled to spend it on world peace. I particularly like the idea of more money for public transport.
Even though I've already posted the meme, I'd be happy to return the favour if there's anything you want to ask me?
