- One of these days my internet connection is going to be the death of me. Early this morning when I was uploading a 37MB zip, it crapped out at 97% and I couldn't get it going again for fifteen minutes. This afternoon, it died 96% into my Lie to Me download and when it reconnected, the file had a 'size mismatch' and fucked up. Urgh, I really need to do something about this. I've got an old-but-never-used wireless router that I've never been able to fathom how it works, and I bought a router from ebuyer.com last week, but it wasn't a modem router, so it couldn't work with my AirPort wireless adaptor. >:( Now I've got to send it back but I think they're going to complain because it's been opened. And they don't provide a prepaid returns sticker, so I have to pay the delivery charge. Goddamnit, I'm generally good at computery things, but wireless internet just flummoxes me.

I use DownloadThemAll, which is pretty good. It's manager/accelerator built in to Firefox, and it can be a little hit and miss about restarting downloads, but generally it's okay. There's only so much it can help when the internet drops out twice a download, though.
