Capping with VLC 101: under the Video menu, there should be a 'snapshot' option, which pretty much does what it says on the tin. :) If it's not there, your version might be too old - I think I had that problem a while back. Also, it's best to set a directory for the caps to go in, because let me tell you, it's SUPER AWESOME scouring every file to find where VLC automatically dumps them. To set the directory, you go to Preferences (which is under Tools for me, but I run Linux, so it might be different on other OSs) then Video, and there should be a bit titled Video snapshots and underneath it Directory, Prefix and Format.

ALSO, if you want to cap to your fullest potential, it's easiest to use the hotkeys. That way you can cap scenes for animations. I'm not sure what the original shortcut is because I think I changed mine (and it's different for different versions, anyway), but you can go to Hotkeys under the Preferences and find/change the shortcut.

If you wanted to cap Sylar's eyes going from blue to brown from the end, that would be ASTOUNDING. (I really should not start trying to make a video icon today when I have class in four hours, but. EYES.)

Hah, I completely missed that scene when I watched it. Anyway, caps for you. Twenty two, to be exact. The password for the album is Sylar1. They've all got prefix 'adrian' because I haven't got around to changing it back after making caps for my Pasdar picspam. Just in case you were wondering. :D
